Max Birley CEO Founding Shareholder
Originally trained as a geophysicist in the UK, he spent +30 years in technical and commercial management in the Oil and Gas business. As an explorationist, navigation was always a core competence. During his career he was always exposed to the application of cutting-edge technology to crack exploration problems. On leaving the business he decided to apply his skills to the guidance and control of autonomous vehicles. This then morphed into a mowing business.
During his time as a CEO of an independent oil company, he was involved with the raising of many 10’s of millions of dollars for the business. Having lived in 14 different countries he is very comfortable working with people from all over the world. He now lives and works in Texas near Austin
Apart from his CEO duties within YouNoMow he also builds and tests the protoype mowers. In the early days he did some programming however he says that the code surpassed his skills about 2 years ago. So he leaves that to the experts. He is very active with the overall direction of the product and concepts that control the functionality of the mowers
Jannis Kotsis
Jannis is an Experienced IT Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. He holds a M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology(KTH), in Stockholm, Sweden. He has worked as technical leader and project manager in the software sector and is currently active in the development of software solutions in the defense sector on behalf of a Greek company based in Athens. His fields of interest include geographical systems, databases and networks. He likes to work in challenging technical environments and different business areas.Jannis wrote all the code for the Mission Planning and Visualization Software. Jannis is based in Greece and works on this project remotely
