Data Analysis
When we undertake a mowing mission the Mower automatically records 60+ variables every second. A snippet of the data recorded is enclosed below. The data is recorded so that we can fully understand the performance of the Mower throughout the mission.
Although the table of data is valuable it is difficult to visualize the data in its original form We have written an excel macro that works on the recorded data file to generate a number of graphs and a summary of the mission
You will notice a number of tabs along the bottom of the spreadsheet. Each tab contains a graph that we will review. One of the more important tabs is the Dash tab as that provides a summary for the whole mission
One of the more important values is the Cross Track Error. You will notice from the blue bar chart that the Mower was within 5 cm 60% of the time and within 10cm 80% of the time. The average cross track error for the whole mission was around 5 cm
